Description
3/24/26 - This is one of the very first P.38's manufactured by Walther in 1942, the 41st 'ac 42' ever made. This Walther is all-matching with all small parts being waffen proofed. There is about 75% of the original finish remaining on this gun. There is general high edge wear, wear on the slide with some freckling oxidation (most notably the left side of the slide), and wear on top of the barrel. The front strap has virtually no blue left on it and has a spot of light oxidation. This firearm comes fitted with period-correct brown bakelite grips that are not E/359 inspection stamped. The right grip has a small chip by the trigger bar. The bore has decent rifling but also has freckling throughout. Comes with an original Walther P.38 magazine that would have been paired with a later wartime gun. The gun is mechanically sound with full functionality, including working de-cocker.
