Description
5/29/26 - This is an excellent example of a Walther P.38 that was manufactured in October of 1960. This P.38 bears the "BW" marking above the trigger well on the left side of the frame, which indicates that this firearm was issued to the Bundeswehr, or West German Military. This P.38 is all-matching with the barrel and the slide serialized to the frame. This P.38 has the period-correct 165/Droop Eagle proofs, as well as "W9.79" just before the "BW" marking which may be a unit marking, though we cannot confirm. This firearm has retained about 98% of its original finish, with very minimal loss, but the frame and slide do show some surface scratches. Most of these tiny scratches are present on the high-edges of the Dural frame. Comes with the period-correct black plastic grip panels, which show no signs of chips or cracks. The bore is bright with a mirror finish, though the rifling does seem slightly worn. This P.38 comes with a scarce Walther P1 magazine. Fully functional, including de-cocker.
