Description
5/11/26 - This is a rare example of a third-variation "Zero Series" Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1940. All numbered parts are matching, including the magazine. The grips are unnumbered but correct E/359 examples. It retains about 65-70% of the original high polish finish. It has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout, even on the small parts. Noticeable wear on the front and back strap, with minor freckling and holster wear on the both sides of the slide and barrel. The bore shows pin-pricking and light frost throughout. De-cocker is functional. Has much of the original paint that came on the front and rear sides of some issued guns. Also comes with an excellent, and very rare 1940 dated holster made by Carl Heinichen of Dresden. These early holsters did not have the 'P38' stamp on the back. The holster is solid, with good stitching. Two small cuts are below the buckle that do not go through to the inside.
