6/11/25 – This is an original West German police holster, issued for the Walther P38 or P1, and dated 1962. The back is clearly stamped "C. Riese BERLIN 1962 / 6", indicating manufacture in Berlin just one year after the Berlin Wall was erected — a true Cold War-era piece.

The holster is made of black leather and remains in very good condition overall. The leather is still supple with no cracks or tears. The stitching is all tight and intact, and the snap closure is fully functional. There are some light scuffs and surface wear consistent with service use.

A solid example of a Cold War police holster with historical significance. Perfect for collectors of post-war German militaria or Cold War-era sidearms.
