Description
3/25/26 - This is a Whitney Model 1 pocket revolver chambered in .22 rimfire, manufactured in the early 1870s by the Whitney Arms Company of New Haven, Connecticut. These small-frame revolvers were designed as affordable, easily concealable personal defense arms during the post-Civil War period, competing with other early rimfire pocket revolvers of the era. The Model 1 features a solid frame with a spur trigger, simple fixed sights, and has octagonal barrel. Overall, the gun is in fair condition. It has a nickel-plated finish that shows freckling throughout and is mostly worn on the grip straps, showing the brass of the frame. Noticeable patina on the cylinder. Fitted with smooth wood grips. The bore has decent rifling, but shows obvious spotty surface oxidation throughout. Fully functional. No FFL required.
