SOLD - Winchester Model 12 Trench Shotgun (994847 - 07250)

Description

5/18/18 - This is an all original Winchester Model 12 trench shotgun with beautiful high-polished blue in mid-90s condition and excellent stock with sharp and all original cartouches.  It also has all original bayonet lug/heat shield, and beautiful bore. The gun was made in 1943 and has a 43 dated barrel with crisp flaming bomb and a Winchester oval proof on top. The receiver is marked with U.S. on the right side and shows minor thinning and edge wear.  The stock is minty with original buttplate and sling swivel. Crisp inspectors mark and crossed cannons cartouche.  Barrel is correctly marked “cyl”. Bayonet lug is correctly unmarked and all original as well. These guns were taken out of the Winchester commercial production and have the same deep, lustrous blue as their commercial counterparts. Most were heavily used in WWII and subsequently in the Korean War, so finding a pristine example like this is next to impossible.  Comes with an original Boyt marked sling.
