Description
06/12/2024 - For sale is a Winchester Model 1895 Rifle chambered in .30-40 Krag / .30 Army and was made in 1915. The Winchester 1895 was the last of the lever actions designed by John M. Browning utilizing a box magazine and chambered in safari hunting calibers. The 1895's would also be produced for the Imperial Russian Army and a small batch for the US Army in the Phillipines. This rifle is a commercial model in the "rifle" configuration with a full length barrel but a half length forestock. This rifle is in an overall 90% condition with the bluing on the receiver turning brown with age. The barrel has some tiny specs of oxidation throughout but no pitting or damage. The stock and forestock are also in good condition without any breaks or cracks. The bore is bright towards the beginning but the last 5 inches or so of the muzzle becomes dark.Specifications
