9/1/26 - A series of "Blank Slide" model 1934 guns which were produced at Beretta after the fall of the Fascist regime in July 1943, About 9-10,000 units in the late F-prefix serial group, and 40-50,000 pistols in the G-prefix group were produced with no markings. In January 1944, a new slide legend was applied. It was the same as the old slide legend, except without the Roman Numeral markings to denote the years since the 1922 March on Rome. This example is matching with the proper "Crown RE" Italian military acceptance proof. It comes as a rig with one magazine and a 1968-dated Austrian tan leather holster. Fitted with period-correct black baketlite grips. The gun has retained about 95% of its original high polish bluing with minor muzzle wear, some wear on the trigger guard, and some dulling on the grip straps. The bore has good rifling, but there is some frosting in the grooves.
