Description

4/8/26- For sale is a WW2 era Japanese good luck flag. These flags were commonly signed by many of the soldier's family and friends before they left home and were carried as a reminder of home and a token to hopefully bring luck and safety during war service. This flag is about 40x29 inches and is made of a lightweight silk. The large red sun is nicely colored with only one or two small moth holes. The rest of the flag is white with handwritten Japanese characters and assorted small moth holes, although none are more than a few millimeters across. The corners have thicker gold fabric reinforcements. Overall in excellent condition.
