SOLD - SS Dagger with Chain

1/4/18 - This is an original WW2 production SS Dagger. The dagger comes with an original scabbard and original chained hanger. The hanger has a light "SS" marking on the backside of one of the links, but otherwise is unmarked. Similarly, the blade of this piece is unmarked. We tend to believe most faked daggers have maker stamps as the fakers know that collectors look for specific maker markings. There are also some known SS and nazi army daggers that were made with no maker stamp in WWII. The condition also helps to speak for the authenticity of this piece. The blade has some oxidation on both sides - which is light speckling shown in photos. The handle also has various chips in both the top and bottom edges of the wood (as shown in photos). The metal hand guard and top accent on the handle are also lightly yellowed, which is a good genuine sign of aging. The scabbard metal accents, as well as the chain links show this similar light yellowing of the metal. The scabbard also has a dent in the base/tip. This is honest wear and overall a good, all original chained SS dagger.
