Description
9/25/26 - This is a nice example of a Steyr Hahn M1912 that was issued to the Austro-Hungarian military during WWI and was later reworked by Mauser for use by the German police during WW2. The Steyr Hahn 1912 was manufactured in Imperial Austria, but after the 1938 German occupation of Austria some were converted to 9mm Luger. They were stamped '08' to indicate this conversion, E/N proofed, and accepted with the German Police Eagle/L. The slide is dated 1917 with an Austrian proof and 1936 date on the right side of the trigger guard. The gun has been entirely refinished with virtually no bluing loss, just a few small marks on the front strap and a couple of very light surface scratches on the slide. Fitted with excellent checkered wood grips. Very nice bore with great rifling.
