WWI-Era 7.65mm Police Style Holster

9/24/26 - This is a WWI-era brown Pebble Grain police-style holster for a 7.65mm firearm. The leather on this holster has stayed in very nice functional condition, remaining sturdy yet pliable. The pebble grain finish on this holster has retained a majority of its dark brown finish. The muzzle of the holster bears some high-edge wear from the firearm it once held. The leading edge of the holster shows some scuffs and blemishes and a small area of finish loss. The edges on the holster show some wear, though there is not any ripping or tearing. Underneath the front strap, it bears the maker's mark which reads "FRANZ HERRMANN -ERFURT- 1915". The top of the belt loop has some finish loss and cracking, with a small tear in the left side. To the right of the belt loop, a previous owner has scratched "EF" into the finish. Much of the stitching on this holster appears to have been replaced. The stitching on the right side of the front strap is missing. The top flap also appears to have had the original stitching replaced with a new white thread, though it does not align with the original stitching holes.
