Description
8/13/26 - This is an early, WWI-era Colt Government Model 1911 sold in the commercial market in 1917. It has the correct markings but has a WW2-era "HS" High Standard barrel. It has retained roughly 85% of its original high polish bluing. There is some what spotty wear on the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges and around the muzzle. There is also noticeable finish loss on the back strap, light scratchy wear on the front strap, and a few light circular scratches on the left side of the slide from the takedown lever. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. Mint bore.
