3/23/26 - This is a nice example of a rare Sauer Model 1913 issued to the Imperial German military during WWI. It is all matching with a "D.15.M.G.E. 26." unit marking on the front strap, indicating this gun was issued to Dragoon Regiment 15, Maschinengewehr-Eskadron (Machine Gun Unit). It has retained roughly 85% of its original bluing. There is muzzle wear, high edge wear along the round edges of the slide, and some minor thinning on the back strap (where there is also light brown patina). Fitted with period-correct black baklite grips and comes with one proper magazine. The bore has good rifling with some light fouling in the grooves.
