Description
9/18/26 - A good example of a WWI-era two-tone 1911 magazine by Barnes and Kolbert, with the "B" maker's mark crisply stamped on the toe of the baseplate. The beautiful two-tone finish is retained, with use wear primarily on the right side at the finish transition and toward the bottom, and on the left side near the front edge and in a few spots through the blued area. The bottom of the baseplate shows finish loss and wear near the heel, there is some distortion and wear where the baseplate is pinned, and the front pin on the left side shows some separation. The follower travels smoothly through the tube and the spring is strong yet responsive. A correct two-tone magazine makes or breaks a WWI 1911 display - this is a solid, honest one.
