Description
11/3/26 - For sale is a WWII German Army winter fur cap with a Heer cap eagle. After the brutal winter of 1941-42 on the Eastern Front caught the German Army without proper cold-weather clothing, fur caps like this one became a common sight, ranging from official issue patterns to privately purchased and locally made caps. This cap has a full fur body with a turned-up front and fold-down ear flaps and neck flap that tie up with cloth strings, a tan cloth outer shell, and a black leather lined interior. The front is fitted with a stamped aluminum Wehrmacht Heer eagle. The fur is in great condition overall. The outer shell is also in great condition, with just a couple of spots of very light scuffing and a few small spots of discoloration. The leather on the inside is also very nice, with just some minor surface cracking. A great piece of Eastern Front winter gear.
