SOLD - ZF4 G43/K43 Scope with BLM Serialized Mount

7/28/26 - This is a ZF4 scope that was manufactured by Opticotechna GmbH in Czechoslovakia. These scopes were designed primarily for use with G43 and K43 rifles, though they were also used on FG42s and are compatible with G41s. The side of the scope bears the maker-mark "dow" with a triangle filled with Green paint. This green triangle indicates that this scope was filled with a high-temperature oil for guns that were intended to operate in hotter climates. The scope is also marked "Gw FZ 4" and is serialized 25011. The scope is bright with a clear reticle. The exterior of the scope has retained some of the original finish, though the engraved side of the scope, as well as the core of the scope seems to have worn most of it away. The scope is mounted to a very nice "E/214" Berlin-Lubecker Maschinenfabrik (BLM) mount. The mount was cast and shows no signs of any chips or cracks. The base of the mount bears an "E/214" inspection proof on the right and the serial number "2174" on the left. The fastening lever operates smoothly with no play in the mechanism. This scope comes with a period-correct black leather lens cover.
