SOLD - Springfield Armory 1911 Slide

1/9/25 - This is a great example of a WW2 Colt 1911 slide that was reworked by the Springfield Armory. This slide still maintains some of its Colt patent markings on the left side of the slide but this stamp has become faint from the reworking process. The left side has been stamped "Springfield Armory U.S.A" with the flaming bomb where the Colt stallion would have been. The right side of the slide is marked "Model of 1911. U.S.A". The slide maintains most of its dull bluing with some areas of finish loss. These areas with finish loss are those associated with common use, such as the muzzle and the high edges. The slide does have normal signs of age such as light scratches and one small dent on the front on the guide spring tube. This slide comes with it's sights, however the slide has been stripped of its internals.
