SOLD - M40 Luftwaffe Single Decal Helmet - Q66

1/24/23 - This is an original M40 Luftwaffe helmet. The helmet has a single decal on the exterior of a Luftwaffe eagle. The decal is about 60% condition with pieces of the decal missing, as shown. The exterior of the shell has some surface patina and mild aging wear mixed within the original painted finish. There are no dents or major issues, but honest, natural wear throughout. The interior shell is serial lot numbered and maker stamped "Q66". The original leather liner is still completely intact despite having some surface cracking and a few small rips around the base of the liner, as well as scuffing and surface wear throughout the rounded visor portion of the leather. The metal liner band looks original and untampered with. Also included is an original leather chinstrap in great condition as shown. The chinstrap is maker stamped and 1941 dated. A very nice, honest example of a wartime Luftwaffe helmet.
