SOLD - Single Decal Luftwaffe M40 Helmet

3/23/23 - This is an original Luftwaffe M40 Helmet from WW2. The helmet exterior has a single Luftwaffe eagle decal. The decal is roughly 80% condition with some portion of one wing missing. The shell exterior has typical surface patina but no excessive wear. No dents and all original paint. The shell interior is maker and size stamped "ET 62". The back brim has white writing, likely from the solider whom this was issued to. The lot number on the back brim is "320". The metal liner band has some bends / minor dents in the metal but appears to be original to the helmet. One of the rivet prongs is stamped "KA 41" and there appears to be a "42" date stamp on the metal liner band, as shown in photos. The leather liner is in great condition. Comes with an unmarked, original leather chin strap.
