Description
2/4/25 - This is a great example of a WW1/WW2 Springfield US M1905 Cut Bayonet made by Springfield Armory in 1908. This example has good blade that has been cut down to 10 inches The blade has most of its original finish, but does have finish loss near the tip of the blade, as well as on the high edges from scabbard wear. The blade is marked "S A 1908" on one side and "US" with the serial number. That same side has a lightly struck "U.C. Mod" marking under the serial which is the stamp from Utica Cutlery who cut down this bayonet for service in WW2. The grips are in great condition with no cracks or chips. Nice hand guard and pommel. The Scabbard is in great shape One side of the scabbard is marked with the flaming bomb. Locking mechanism works as it should.Specifications
