WW2 German Schutzpolizei Visor Cap

2/11/25 - This is a good example of a WW2 German Shutzpolizei Officer's Cap. This cap is in good overall condition but does have some thinning and minor holes in the top of the cap. This particular cap is from the Order Police known as the Ordnungspolizei, abbreviated as the Orpo. The Orpo like many police organizations during the Third Reich fell under the SS. During the war the Orpo were tasked with policing the civilian populations of the occupied territories of the Third Reich. In 1941 the Orpo became involved in the Holocaust as many of it's members were attached to the Einsatzgruppen Death Squads that terrorized Europe.
