Description
7/10/24 - This is a WW2 era German Army Veteran's Visor Cap. The cap is in great overall condition with clean wool exterior. The only notable moth hole is present just above the eagle emblem affixed to the front of the cap. The embroidered exterior headband is clean with a minor stain visible near the back seam. A closer black-light inspection indicates there was some sort of oil spill which caused this stain, and the stain is more visible on the interior lining, next to the manufacturer's label. The chin strap is original but the black lacquered finish seems to have somewhat melted / bonded to the top of the visor. This is likely from age and heat exposure. The interior leather headband is clean and crisp, as is the blue interior lining and celluloid cover.Specifications
