Description

7/17/24 - This is a WW2 German Veteran's Association Visor Cap. The cap is in excellent overall condition with a clean dark blue wool exterior that has no moth holes or major issues. The top crown of the exterior has a few light scuffs, but these are not mothing and appear to be more of general thinning due to age (so minor it's not visible in photos). The front of the cap has an aluminum cockade with a red felt interior. Excellent condition with vibrant color. The cap also features a Nazi eagle with Maltese cross and crossed swords. The exterior black headband is embroidered with black stitching; all tight, clean and excellent as shown. Clean visor with a black lacquered leather edging, and an excellent original leather chinstrap as well. The interior leather headband is soft and pliable with normal age wear, but completely intact and structurally sound. The original tag is present under the headband, and the interior liner, though yellowed with age is still excellent. Ink stamped with size "56" and maker marked under the celluloid cover. A high-end example.
