SOLD - WW2 USAAF Bulova A-11 Silver Watch - Fully Functioning

3/5/25 - This is a great example of a Bulova A-11 Military watch made for the U.S. Army Air Force in WW2. This watch is a hacking model and was recently serviced in the 2021. During WW2 the U.S. Government sent out specifications to all U.S. watchmakers for watches for use during the war. Bulova at the time was not an American brand and while granted a contract, had to source their own materials within the U.S. The U.S. Mint stepped in to assist Bulova and provided them with coin silver to make their initial run of their watches. This example is one of these desirable early silver cased watches. This watch still maintains its original dial, as well as its original hands. Comes on a modern military style strap. The inside of the watch on the antimagnetic shield has the date "10-9-44" applied to it. This is a beautiful example of a wartime production A-11 watch that is still fully functional and ready for use.
