Description
3/16/22 - This is a rare Japanese Naval Assault Helmet from WW2. These helmets were made for the front lines (landing forces) of the Japanese Navy, but the production of this helmet was short-lived as it required expensive raw materials to manufacture. The helmet features a reinforced steel plate over the front half of the helmet, as shown. This provided extra protection from enemy fire. The helmet has surface patina and paint loss throughout the shell, and no liner is present. The front exterior shows a faint Japanese navy anchor logo. The interior is marked "35-40" in paint, which is likely a size suggestion.Specifications
