Description
5/14/24 - This is an excellent, minty example of a German Africa Corps (DAK) Tropical Army Pith Helmet from WW2. The helmet features two exterior decals, both showing light signs of age and discoloration but no major issues and securely fastened. The exterior shell has no moth holes or notable wear marks. Clean exterior leather brim lining and excellent stitching throughout. Attached leather chinstrap is excellent. The interior is crisp and minty condition. No moth holes or notable issues regrading condition. The only takeaway is the "GERMANY" export and size stamp, which would have been added post factory. Price reduced accordingly, but otherwise this is a near-impossible to upgrade example. The leather headband is stamped with a fairly scarce maker marking "R". The interior of the headband retains the original date and size ink stamps, "58 1942".Specifications
