SOLD - Kriegsmarine Destroyer Badge

3/31/21 - This is an original WW2 Kriegsmarine Destroyer badge. The badge is one piece construction with a battleship on the front surrounded by a typical wreath and a droop winged eagle at the top. There is some mild patina throughout but the coloring is nice overall. The lapel hook (pin at the top) on the reverse is very loose and fragile, yet still attached. The horizontal closure pin is in great condition with no notable issues. No maker markings as shown. There is a faint scratch of a name and number under the horizontal closure clasp, appears to be "Schmit" and underneath "0531/387".
