Rare Sedgley Submarine Signal Pistol Mark I

2/5/25 - This is a rare variation Sedgley Submarine Rocket Signal Flare Pistol Mark 1. These flare pistols are USN Submarine Issued with an extended, wider barrel than the more common Mark 5 by Sedgley. The barrel is 7.5 inches long with a 1.5 inch diameter. Overall length is 13 inches. These flare pistols would launch a long rocket that would protrude out of the barrel when loaded. The shell would remain behind, and a used example is included in this offering. Overall this example is in great condition with some mild surface wear and discoloration on the barrel and breech area. Some handling wear and natural aging patina on the frame / grip. All numbered parts are matching, and the finish is original throughout. Fully functional with no major issues.
