SOLD - Luftwaffe Gravity Knife - SMF (040723-5)

Description

4/11/23 - This is an original WW2 Luftwaffe Gravity Knife. The knife is in near-excellent overall condition with a blade that's maker marked by SMF. There's light surface scratches on the blade and some mild signs of sharpening and cleaning throughout the edge and blade. There are a few minor nicks along the edge of the blade as well from previous use. The release lever is matching numbered to the side bar, 683. This does not match the internal number stamped near the base of the pick piece - 926. The metal parts of the handle have typical surface patina, but there's no rust, pitting, or dark areas of discoloration. The wood handle has no cracks or chips, and the knife is mechanically sound throughout. The base of the pick piece is Luftwaffe proof stamped.
