5/2/22 - This is an original WW2 production Luftwaffe gravity knife. The blade is maker stamped by SMF and is in great overall condition. Clean on each side with some mild surface scratches. The mechanism functions properly, successfully dropping and releasing the blade from the side lever. There is some mild wiggle or play on the blade when released, but this is fairly typical. The lever has matching numbered parts. The fold-out spike is Luftwaffe eagle/5 proof stamped at the base. The wood handle has some small cracks on each side, and one side has an "X" carved into the wood as well as "HA" as shown in photos.Specifications
