Description
4/12/23 - This is an original M16 German Stahlhelm from WW1. The helmet is in great overall condition with an original leather liner and chinstrap intact. The helmet shell still has the original dark olive green paint mostly intact, although there is surface patina and paint loss throughout the shell. No dents or major issues, but standard surface aging and dark patina. Both exterior side lugs are in tact, and correct longer version lugs for size 62 shells. All original liner and chinstrap rivets in place also. The interior shell is maker and size stamped "B.F. 62" near the left ear. The back visor has a very faint black painted "62" as well. The leather liner and liner pads are all intact and original with normal surface wear and aging, but no major issues. No signs of tampering or replacement. One of the liner pads is cracking at the top bend, but the pad is still attached. The leather chinstrap is excellent.Specifications
