SOLD - Tokyo Arsenal T30 Bayonet - Variation A

Description

4/28/23 - This is an original, early WW2 production Type 30 Japanese Rifle Bayonet by Tokyo Arsenal. The bayonet has early features: Bright, fullered blade, hooked cross guard, contoured wood grips with 2 oval washers and circular screws, bird's head pommel, and a metal ball-tipped scabbard. Known as a Variation A in Labar's book. The blade has dark surface oxidation throughout, as well as some speckling surface patina and beginning signs of pitting, but no deep pits or issues. The cross guard and pommel have dark patina throughout but no rust or pitting. The scabbard has a few very mild dings and dents, and dark surface patina throughout.
