5/9/22 - This is a nice example of a Springfield Krag Model 1894 manufactured in 1895. Overall, the gun is in nice condition. The receiver has lost virtually all of its bluing with tiny dots of oxidation and pin-pricking throughout. There is light brown patina and spotty oxidation along the barrel. There is muzzle wear and scratchy wear on the front barrel band. The stock is nice with minor dings and bruises throughout. There is a small chip in the upper handguard, a small chip on the top edge of the butt stock against the butt plate, and a small crack around the rear sling swivel. The stock is "P" proofed but has no visible inspection stamp. Comes with a nice canvas sling and a brass muzzle cap. The bore has decent rifling but there is pin-pricking throughout.
