Description

5/14/20 - This is an original 1942 U.S. Mare Island No. 7 Flag. The flag has 48 hand sewn stars, and is in excellent overall condition with very minimal wear. Some minor staining as shown in photos. The original ink stamp is clearly visible on the seam "US ENSIGN NO 7 MARE ISLAND NOV 1942". This is an earlier WW2 production flag, and would have been flown on the Mare Island naval base. Overall size is 5'x10'. Beautiful piece of American history.
