Description

11/3/21 - This is an original US Mare Island No 9 flag from the end of WW2. The 48 star flag is ink stamped "U.S. No 9 MI 44". There is some mild yellowing around this area, but overall the flag is excellent. No rips, but there are two small holes in the cloth, found on the 2nd white line and 3rd white line (from the top) . Excellent stitching throughout. No stains, but some typical signs of aging throughout. 80" fly. Approximately 82.5 x 40.5 inches.
