SOLD - Deactivated Japanese Knee Mortar with 1 Inert Round

9/9/24 - This is a great example of an original WW2 Japanese Type 89 Grenade Launcher, more commonly referred to as a "Knee Mortar". This example from what we can see externally is numbers matching, the launcher tube, sighting stem, and curved baseplate are all numbered "20146". This example has been deactivated and has been cut and the tube opening has been deactivated with a bar welded across. The launcher itself retains almost all of its original finish, with some areas showing rust and finish loss, but overall in great shape. The sighting mechanism still spins freely, however the linkage to the central geared rod has been removed as part of the deactivation process. This launcher does come with one original Japanese inert round.
