SOLD - M42 Single Decal Luftwaffe Helmet

6/15/22 - This is an original M42 Luftwaffe helmet with a single exterior shell decal. The Luftwaffe decal is in great condition with roughly 90-95% of the logo in tact. The shell has some typical signs of aging such as surface scuffs and mild discoloration mixed with patina and original paint. The interior shell is maker stamped "NS 62", as well as serial numbered "D275". Both of these stamps are faint, as depicted in photos. The black leather liner is typical of later wartime production and is very rigid leather with cracking and a few breaks / missing portions of leather. the leather is somewhat sticky as it feels it has been previously treated with a leather preservative.
