Description
7/25/22 - This is a very rare Smith & Wesson Model 3 Schofield First Model revolver from 1875. It is also marked "W.F. & CO'S.E.X" on the right side of the barrel and on the right grip panel. 5.5" barrel. Only the butt of the frame is serialized. The grips are not serialized either. The gun has lost virtually all of its original finish with spotty oxidation throughout and small dings on both sides of the barrel. The left grip has the name "NARD" carved into it. There is noticeable bruising on both grips and the edges are worn. The bore has weak rifling with oxidation and pitting throughout. The teeth on the cylinder are worn down, and therefore the cylinder spins freely.Specifications
