Description

10/7/24 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1849 Pocket Revolver from 1856. It is completely matching, has a 3" barrel, and is chambered in .31 Caliber. There is a stagecoach robbery scene on the cylinder (roughly 50% visibility). Overall, it is in fair condition for its age, but there is significant finish loss, light spotty oxidation, and light pin-pricking throughout. Some small dings in the metal here and there, especially around the barrel wedge. Fitted with period-correct wood grips - minor bruising on both sides and a tiny chip in the bottom corner of the left side. The bore is very nice for its age - great rifling with only very light surface rust. Fully functional. No FFL required.
