Description

10/2/24 - This is a good example of a German police Shako hat from WW2. This particular shako is in overall good condition with little wear to the felt and leather that make up the shako. The shako does overall have discoloration to the felt and metal fittings that is consistent with nicotine staining from being in a smokey environment, giving it a dull yellowish/gold look. The inside of the Shako is missing the manufactures sticker, but still has it's original leather liner intact. The liner is marked "E.H.", possibly the initials of a prior owner. Overall, this Shako is in good condition, with all of the leather intact and still pliable.
