Description
10/15/24 - This is a very great example of a rare variation WW2 Japanese paratrooper bayonet with the original scabbard. The bayonet is in very great overall condition with the original finish on the blade being mostly intact with only minor thinning near the tip and on the edge, as well as standard scabbard wear. The spine of the hilt is maker stamped by Toyoda Automatic Loom Works under the supervision of Nagoya Arsenal. Serial numbered 8860 on the pommel, the pommel does have a small ding in it, but this does not affect its function. No markings on the blade, though it does show light signs of sharpening. No cracks or chips in the wood handle. The scabbard has a few dents in it, but these are not impacting the function of the scabbard. These were issued with the Type 100 Submachine Gun, and various Paratrooper rifles.Specifications
