Description
10/23/24 - This is an excellent example of a WW2 US Army Wool Great Coat. This particular coat being from the U.S. Army Air Corps. The Individual soldier who this coat belonged to is unknown. However, what we can make out from the coat is that they were a Technician 5th Class and served in the China-Burma-India (CBI) theater. The rank of Technician 5th Class or T/5 was seen as the same as a corporal, and those of the rank were addressed as corporal. Technician ranks were for those soldiers who had specialized technical skills such as medics, radio operators, repairmen and others. The CBI patch on this overcoat is in excellent condition and is a sought after theater made patch. This coat has no visible moth damage or any other damage and was very well stored and maintained. This coat additionally has a US WW2 Victory medal ribbon pinned on to the collar. This overcoat would make a great display piece to any collector of WW2 memorabilia.Specifications
