Description

10/11/24 - This is a rare and desirable Colt Cavalry Single Action Army revolver from 1887. It is completely matching and original with proper 7.5in barrel. It is "US" Property marked on the frame with "P", and "DFC" martial markings. The bottom edge of the left grip panel is also "DFC" marked. There are military cartouches on both grip panels, and the left side is dated 1887. These guns are usually in rough condition, but this one is in better condition than most we've seen. Nearly all of the original finish is worn with spotty "attic patina" throughout, but there are hints of the original case-hardening visible on the frame. Some of the original high polish bluing is visible in the crevices. The bore has strong rifling and is shiny for the most part. However, there is some light spotty surface oxidation here and there. Fully functional. No FFL required.
