Description
10/10/22 - This is a great example of an Albert Helmet utilized by the Blues and Royals cavalry regiment as part of their full dress uniforms. The helmet is made up of silver and gold gilt plates. The front of the helmet features an 8-pointed star with the cross of St. George in its center. The top of the helmet's spike has a red hair plume attached that hangs down approximately 50cm from the top of the plume. The helmet's original liner is intact and made of leather. The gold-ringed chinstrap is back with black leather and secured on both sides with a Tudor rose. The overall condition of the helmet is great. The metal of the helmet shows minor signs of use wear and mild patina hear and there but has no major blemishes or defects. The plume is in nice condition overall with only minor frilling at its top and mostly intact hair with consistent coloring. Note that the red horsehair is prone to shedding and this helmet should be handled with care!Specifications
