Description
12/20/24 - This is a great example of a WW2 Finnish Nordfront Cross. This medal was awarded to German soldiers who took part in the fight against the Soviets in Finland. These medals are of a multi-piece construction. This construction consists of a die stamped nickel-silver that has been silver plated, as well as multiple enamel sections. The medal depicts the Finnish flag as well as the Nazi Flag sticking out of a red enameled shield with a rampant lion on it. As well as the text, "“Pohjoisrintama-Die Nordfron", which means "The Northern Front" in both Finnish and German. As well as the names of the major locations of action in the northern front on the arms of the swastika. This medal is in great condition and maintains almost all of it's enamel work with only one minor chip along the bottom.Specifications
