Description
11/22/24 - This is a great example of a pair of WW2 Double Buckle Combat Boots. While these boots were standard issue, what makes this pair rare is the overall condition, given the amount of use these boots would have seen during the war. These boots were made by the Doyle Shoe Co., and were shipped to Boston Ma, on Nov. 6th 1944, based on the stamp on the inside of the left boot. The leather on these boots is in great overall condition, but they both have some cracking on the upper portion of the boots. The left boot additionally has a small tear in the top leather. The bottom leather on these boots though remains in great to excellent condition, and has only minor wear from use. The soles on these boots additionally are in great condition. While the soles do have wear from use, the branding marks are still strong. Both of these boots have inserts in them to keep their shape. These boots would make a great display piece, or with the proper care and restoration, they could be worn again. These boots are a size 9C.Specifications
