Description
11/28/22 - This is a late WW2 production K98 bayonet with an original scabbard and leather frog. The bayonet and scabbard both are void of markings or stamps (including waffen proofs). The wood grips and dust-blued finish both indicate late / end of war production. The blade has no signs of sharpening and excellent finish throughout. Machine lines are evident throughout the blade. The cross guard and pommel of the bayonet has surface patina and mild thinning / finish loss. No cracks or chips in the wood grips. The scabbard has a mild dent in the front metal and some surface patina throughout but no major issues. The leather frog is stamped on the back leather with what looks like a RBN Number but the marking is very faint and hard to decipher.Specifications
