12/19/24 - This is an excellent example of a Colt Model 1862 Police/Pocket Navy Conversion Revolver, manufactured in the 1870's. It looks like it was originally chambered in .36 Caliber, but we believe this is a .38 Caliber Navy conversion. It is completely matching with a 3.5 inch round barrel. Stage Coach robbery scene on the cylinder (~90+% visibility). The gun is in excellent condition for its age with a blued barrel and much of the original case-hardening visible on the frame and trigger. There is general high edge wear, some thinning on the cylinder, and some thinning on the grip straps. Fitted with very nice wood grips. The bore is mostly very shiny with strong rifling, but there are some small spots of surface oxidation near the cylinder end. Fully functional. No FFL required.
