Description
11/29/23 - This is an original WW2 German ZF 4 rifle scope with a reproduction mount. The mount is made to look like an original, and is proof stamped with a few small eagle/359 Walther military proof stamps. The base is also serial numbered 9099s. Functional and properly marked attach / quick release lever. The forward mount ring is missing, as shown in photos. The mount has a phosphate style finish, while the scope has a worn blued finish. The scope is all original and includes a rubber eye relief / sunshade over one end, although we believe this rubber looks too good to be true and is likely reproduction. The scope is marked "Gw ZF 4 , 42402 , ddx." with a triangle logo. There's dark brown patina and natural aging throughout the exterior of the scope, and the adjustment knobs are missing the metal cover plates. The adjustment knobs are fully functional however, and the optics are clean. There's a trace of cloudiness but the reticle is crisp and visibility is good.Specifications
